about

For this second worship project, I decided to take a different approach with recording. Although there are flaws, I pray this music is still a blessing to many, as 'God looks not at the quality of our praise, but rather the quality of our passion and the meditations of our hearts.'

I have incorporated much more scripture into these songs, in hopes that the message of each would be well heard by all who listen. As a final mission statement, I would add again that 'these songs should be remembered as merely a conveyance of worship with no personal gain in the way. So feel free to worship with me and share the songs with whomever you think would benefit!' Thanks, and many blessings!

Track Name: The Prophecy (Intro)
“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come to his people and redeemed them.
He has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
(as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),
salvation from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us—
to show mercy to our ancestors
and to remember his holy covenant,
the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,
and to enable us to serve him without fear
in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,
to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

~Luke 1:68-79 (NIV)
Track Name: As the Dawn
-Chorus-
Oh, let us know the Lord
Let us press on to know the Lord
For His going out is as sure as the dawn
Let us listen and obey the Lord

-Verse 1-
He will come as the spring brings rain
He will cleanse all the earth that He made
Lord, cleanse your child as you would purify this place
And let us walk ever in Your way

-Verse 2-
He desires all our steadfast love
Not a love that will quickly fade
So let us come and return to Him
He will heal and He will sustain

-Bridge-
For He has set the coming day
When all will sing His praise
And as the dawn, we will embrace
The light of His power and grace

*Song idea from Hosea 6 (ESV)
Track Name: Perfect Design
-Verse 1-
Come to the place, meet me here all you children, and listen
Lord of the heavens fills our souls as He’s given permission

-Pre-chorus-
To open up and freely give
What has been given, we lay it down

-Chorus-
At the feet of One, standing beyond time,
Our souls are shaped by His design, I know
What is to come will never be enough to stop our song

-Verse 2-
Come and be saved, meet Him here all you broken, just listen
God of your sorrows, Lord of all longs to hear it—forgiveness call

-Bridge-
And God, You never fail us
Your mercies never end, oh
And life with You holds meaning once again
So I lay it down
Track Name: God of Glory
-Verse 1-
Tide moves out and nothing left the same
Patterns of a gull on gusts of wind
You move me and I cannot help but change
‘cause, God, You are so beautiful in every single way

-Verse 2-
Sweetest touch of honeysuckle rain
Brought to life by spring’s first cloudy day
There’s nothing like the song of heaven’s glory
To reach the hearts of men and move to vibrant songs of praise

-Chorus-
God of glory, God of strength and power
You deserve my praise in every hour
Every hour You are good, You are faithful
You are good, You are God of my tomorrow

-Verse 3-
Mountains fall to earth at Your command
Just to show the might of Your own hand
Lord, I am nothing, I am but a man
To know the way and see the face of the great I Am

-Verse 4-
In the smile of every orphaned child
God, You are the joy found in the trials
For I have tasted, I have seen the light
That permeates the darkness of a world lost to the night

-Bridge-
And on that day all eyes will turn to You
Your glory, Lord, will forever be known, oh
And nothing will replace this heart that longs for You alone
God of glory, God of glory, God, You are
Track Name: Declaration Song
-Chorus 1-
In the way that you move me
In the way that I can breathe when you are
Near, God, you move me to
Sing this song of declaration
Oh, you are here, you are holy, God
Oh, you are near, you are dear to my heart, to my heart

-Verse-
None can escape the depths of your love
For though we try to look the other way, you’re always right beside us
Jesus paved the way; he paid the final price for us
To know and be known by the one who looks beyond our sin
So now I sing this song to dedicate the marvels of your
Everlasting love, now I cannot help but sing

-Bridge-
There is no way I deserve this love
God, there is no way I could thank you enough

-Chorus 2-
In the way that you move me
There is nothing I want more, God
Than to raise up a shout of praise
For the glory that’s in store
Track Name: Word Alive
-Verse 1-
Your love is like poetry;
Your words are resounding inside of me
I can feel You in the air that I breathe,
‘cause nothing can cloak Your majesty

-Interlude-
God, You are good to me,
You are so good to me,
You’re all that I need

-Verse 2-
You’re grace has set me free,
You found me in sin and set me free
I once was blind, but now I’m see,
that You’re love is everlasting

-Chorus-
You’re all that I need, You are my energy
Jesus, You’re everything, higher than I can see
Your love is like poetry, for the whole world to see
You’ve come just to set us free, and it’s all that we need

-Bridge-
Something changed when You spoke to me
It came from inside, and Your Word came alive
Track Name: Move Me as You Will
-Chorus-
God, I’m called to convey the longings of my heart
To those who need you now, so move me as you will
My words are not my own, you’ve trusted me with yours
So move me as you will; Lord, you move me, Lord, you move me still

-Verse-
Nothing can part this heart of mine from your great love
And none can express the wonders of your awesome love
God, I can’t stress my gratitude for you enough
And God, you know best the path you have for me to follow

-Bridge-
I’ll live the rest of my life, as though for me someone did die
And if to live is Christ, to die is gain, I pray, oh Lord, you’d move in me again
Track Name: Thorn in the Flesh (Interlude)
"This boasting will do no good, but I must go on. I will reluctantly tell about visions and revelations from the Lord. I was caught up to the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether I was in my body or out of my body, I don’t know—only God knows. Yes, only God knows whether I was in my body or outside my body. But I do know that I was caught up to paradise and heard things so astounding that they cannot be expressed in words, things no human is allowed to tell.
That experience is worth boasting about, but I’m not going to do it. I will boast only about my weaknesses. If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won’t do it, because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message, even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

~2 Corinthians 12:1-10 (NLT)
Track Name: Not of Me
-Verse 1-
My soul will boast in the Lord
Let it be humble, hear and be glad
I will give thanks to the Lord
Your name forever I will give praise

-Chorus-
Like a cloud without rain is a man who boasts
Of a gift he does not give
I will boast in my weakness and in Your grace
It is sufficient for all my needs
Lord, I will boast, but not of me

-Verse 2-
Love does not envy or boast
Love, it is patient; love it is kind
Love will rejoice in the Truth
Love endures all things, love never ends

-Bridge-
I have been crucified to the world
For I will boast in the cross
Oh, I have been crucified to the world
This life, I count as loss

*Song idea from Psalm 34:2, Psalm 44:8, Proverbs 25:14, 2 Corinthians 12:9, 1 Corinthians 13:4, Galatians 6:14 (NLT)
Track Name: How Long, O Lord?
-Verse 1-
How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my own soul
With sorrow in my heart every day?

-Chorus-
Light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death again,
I have trusted in your steadfast love;
My heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord

-Verse 2-
How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long shall my enemy be exalted before me?
Consider and answer me, O my God

-Bridge-
My foes rejoice when I am shaken.
But you, O Lord, are my firm foundation

*Song idea from Psalm 13 (ESV)
Track Name: No Other Savior (Interlude)
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

I, I am the LORD,
and beside me there is no savior.

Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

But you have burdened me with your sins;
you have wearied me with your iniquities.
I, I am he
who blots out your transgressions for my own sake,
and I will not remember your sins."

~Isaiah 43:1-3, 11, 18-19, 24b-25 (ESV)
Track Name: The Bridge
-Verse 1-
Look, friend, your standing on the far side of
This canyon that’s keeping me from you
Look, child, do you want me like I want you?
Come and be made clean again

-Chorus-
I, I am He who blots out all your transgressions
I, I will remember your sins no more, no more

-Verse 2-
There is no way you can cross this chasm by
Completing works that you thought to be good
The only way is the Cross and the shedding of
Blood for the sins of this broken world

-Bridge-
I am the one who loves you more than
Anyone ever could in this life
So come and follow me to the end
That I will always call you mine

*Song idea from Isaiah 43:25 (ESV)
Track Name: The Lord Shall Rescue Zion (Interlude)
"For all the peoples walk
each in the name of its god,
but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God
forever and ever.

In that day, declares the LORD,
I will assemble the lame
and gather those who have been driven away
and those whom I have afflicted;
and the lame I will make the remnant,
and those who were cast off, a strong nation;
and the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion
from this time forth and forevermore."

~Micah 4:5-7 (ESV)
Track Name: The Remnant
-Verse 1-
Come, let us go; let us go up to the mountain of the Lord
Come, we will walk, and praise his holy name forevermore

-Chorus-
Arise and thresh, O you daughter of Zion
Arise and thresh, people of the King
For He will strengthen you in battle to raise up a shout
We’ll follow him until the day we see his glory going out

-Verse 2-
Come, come the lame, the afflicted and the lost will bless His name
Come, those cast off; will you come, O you tower of the flock?

-Verse 3-
Who can understand? Who can understand His holy plan?
Let us walk in His paths that we might taste of the blessings of His hand

-Bridge-
Oh, take heart, our God goes before us now
Oh, take heart, the remnant will overcome

*Song idea from Micah 4 (ESV)
Track Name: The Setting Sun
-Verse 1-
You’ve been watching me all of my life
From the day I was born ‘til the day that I die
You’ve been changing me, I can’t deny
That I love you, Lord, it’s to you that I cry

-Chorus-
In the setting sun I find my rest
In the Maker’s arms, stretched east to west
With the coming dawn I will recall
The one who sacrificed to cleanse us all

-Verse 2-
Your peace, O Lord, in it I stand
Surpasses all I can comprehend
You are my strength when I am weak
You are my eyes when I can’t see

-Bridge-
You are the one who is able
More than your servant could ever desire
God, you have made a way for everlasting life
